Proud Grandpa !

Having recently become a Grandfather, here are a couple of photos of my new Granddaughter when she was 7 months old and still a resident of the Welfare Institute in Fuzhou China. [ Picture #1 ] [ Picture #2 ]

My daughter and son-in-law had made the decision several years ago to adopt a child. After a lengthy adoption process, they recently returned from China with a one year old girl, whom they named Eva (after my son-in-law's mother).  As new photos become available, from both their trip to China and those from around the house, I’ll update this page.

For those of you with children (at least up through their mid-to-late teens) I highly Recommend, in fact Urge you to check out this web site - "National Sex Offender Registry." I just recently became aware of this site, and was shocked to discover just how many registered sex offenders lived in my granddaughter's community.

This site allows you to input an address, city, state, and zip code to view a map of that area with an overlay of sex offenders living within that community. Clicking on a color coded square brings up that offender's information profile (usually a photograph, address and registered sex offenses against children). Believe me, it was scary to see just how many offenders (408 for my granddaughter's community) lived within walking distance of her home.
