A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 27th @ 3:00 pm at Wynwood River Place Retirement Community, 739 E Parkcenter Blvd, Boise. A celebration reception will follow the memorial service. Condolences, memories and flowers may be shared with the family.
Mary Ann was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She truly embraced the Midwestern lifestyle. She spent much time in her childhood enjoying the woods and lakes; fishing, boating and swimming with her parents. As an only child, she created many close connections to cousins and friends, with whom she remained close to her entire life. During high school she was involved in Drill Team, student leadership & many volunteer programs. Mary Ann and Chuck Waters were high school sweethearts who married in 1963; they were married for 30 years. Even after divorcing, they remained close friends.
Mary Ann always knew she wanted to be a nurse. Upon graduation, she entered nursing school and received her LPN degree and immediately put it to work as a hospital nurse. After staying at home with her children, she resumed her career in nursing. She spent the majority of her nursing career working at Alexian Village Retirement Community. She truly loved her work there; she had many fond memories and dear friends from her years there. Upon retirement in 2008, she moved to Boise to be with her daughter, son-in-law and granddaughters. She passionately loved her granddaughters.
Mary Ann's true passions in life were being a mother, a grandmother and a nurse. Over her life, Mary Ann was involved in her church on many levels, from being a Sunday School teacher, to choir, to a variety of committees. She traveled every year to visit her children and grandchildren. She also took the opportunity to travel with her children to places in Europe, Canada, China & Korea. One of Mary Ann's most joyful adventures was traveling with her daughter and granddaughter (Eva), to China to adopt her second granddaughter, Jing-Jing. Mary Ann had a gracious and loving heart.
She will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, her internal strength and her unconditional love. The compassionate love she showed her family and friends will be sincerely missed. We love you mom. Mary Ann is survived by her Daughter, Sandie Waters-Anderson and Husband, Scott B. Anderson, Granddaughters Eva & Jing-Jing; her son, Michael R. Waters and her husband of 30 years, Charles H. Waters. |
